Abstract

On September 10, the meticulously renovated and reconstructed western section of Yingze Avenue in Taiyuan City officially reopened to traffic. This vital thoroughfare, often hailed as the city’s “central axis” and known as “Shanxi’s Number One Street,” now boasts seamless connectivity along its entire length. During this landmark renovation project, Changda’s Shanxi Transportation Project Team played an integral role, innovatively incorporating high-performance, two-component anti-fouling reflective road markings. This thoughtful upgrade not only elevates Yingze Avenue’s overall quality and safety standards but also adds a vibrant touch of cutting-edge technology to its revamped image—demonstrating Changda’s commitment to restoring the splendor of “Beautiful Taiyuan City” with expert expertise and dedication.

The design concept for Yingze Avenue (West Section) is rooted in advancing urban renewal, emphasizing a people-centered approach, promoting green and low-carbon development, leveraging smart technologies, enhancing safety and efficiency, and fostering sustainable growth and cultural heritage. It aims to eliminate road safety hazards, upgrade aging infrastructure, and pilot innovative urban lifeline projects—all working together to build a modern, people-friendly city that is innovative, livable, beautiful, resilient, civilized, and intelligent.

Based on the above design concept, the design team innovatively adopted a two-component, dirt-resistant, reflective road marking for road safety facilities. This type of marking boasts exceptional durability, outstanding resistance to dirt accumulation, and an impressively long service life. Whether it's nighttime, rainy days, or adverse weather conditions like smog, these markings consistently provide drivers with bright, clear guidance, significantly enhancing visibility and safety during nighttime driving—and truly delivering "brightness at night." Moreover, the dirt-resistant, reflective nature of this two-component marking makes it highly resistant to contaminants; even if soiled, the markings can be easily washed clean by rainwater, ensuring their clarity is maintained over time and preserving the "whiteness during the day" visual effect, thus keeping urban roads looking neat and aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, these markings are highly wear-resistant and long-lasting, reducing the need for frequent repainting, which in turn lowers maintenance costs and minimizes traffic disruptions. Ultimately, they align perfectly with the green, low-carbon, and sustainable development philosophy.

Yingze Avenue is not only a vital transportation route but also a key space for showcasing the city’s image and enriching the public life of its residents. The two-component anti-fouling reflective markings used in this renovation perfectly align with Yingze Avenue’s dual roles as a cornerstone of urban functionality, a symbol of the city’s historical significance, and a testament to its ambitious vision for future development. At every detail, these markings reflect the city’s unwavering commitment to quality, its deep concern for the safety of citizens’ daily commutes, and its proactive embrace of modern, smart urban management principles.

The two-component anti-fouling reflective lane markings are the "finishing touch" behind the revitalization and upgrade of Yingze Avenue. They not only serve as a "lifeline" ensuring traffic safety but also act as a "scenic highlight" that enhances the city's aesthetic appeal. Moreover, they vividly demonstrate Taiyuan City’s commitment to leveraging technology and pursuing excellence in urban construction and management. From Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province, through Xilingol in Inner Mongolia, all the way to Taiyuan in Shanxi Province, the application of these innovative two-component anti-fouling reflective markings is now spreading across the country. This environmentally friendly and economically beneficial "win-win" solution has already won the growing favor of more and more cities.
